How learning works here

Children learn by doing. In the early classes they work with Montessori materials — pouring, sorting, counting beads, sandpaper letters — before they write anything down. Older children move on to chosen tasks they finish themselves. Classes are mixed-age, so a child works at their own pace and an older pupil learns to guide a younger one. Teachers observe and step in where help is needed.

Class list and subjects

We run Preschool, Kindergarten and Primary 1 to 6, and every class is co-educational. Below is what each stage covers, from the first practical life work to the upper primary subjects. If your child is joining midway, tell the office the class they finished and we will advise where they fit best.

• Preschool (Nursery 1 and 2)Practical life work, songs, rhymes, colours, shapes, counting to ten and plenty of supervised play — the first gentle step into a school routine.
• KindergartenPhonics, letter sounds, early reading and writing, number work and cultural studies, with children choosing activities and completing them before moving on.
• Primary 1 to 3English, Mathematics, Basic Science, Social Studies and Computer Studies, plus handwriting, reading and creative work, all building on the Montessori foundation.
• Primary 4 to 6The same core subjects at a deeper level, with comprehension, composition, quantitative reasoning, computer studies, reading and regular class assessments.
• Montessori materials in classCounting beads, sandpaper letters, number rods, sorting trays, puzzle maps and picture cards. Children handle the materials themselves rather than only copying from the board.
